So I'm working on customizing the metadata field using by making a custom include for a rule field, figured this way I could pick and chose which field is effected. Now I'm trying to figure out how to call the metadata that is using this include.
dRevLabel uses the custom include in it's rule and I want it to be used in the include.
I'm thinking #local.fieldCaption would work for something like [h1 style=color:green>#local.fieldCaption</h1] in the include so it will not be static and show the current rule field that is effect based on whats calling it.
Another issue is that I can't seem to find DpDisplayIncludes to merge tables with using my custom componant. Not showing up in the drop down and when I add it myself it errors at me.
So I'm thinking I'm in the right path with [h1 style=color:green>#local.fieldCaption</h1] but I can't seem to merge it to the custom include drop down.

as long as you have defined the include in a componet and using the right name for "Use Custom include", there shouldn't be any issues.
what you could try is...
define include "my_custom_include" as follows...
<$if not isUploadFieldScript$>
<tr><td>My Custom label</td><td>
<input type="text" name="mycustomfield" value="123">
create a hcst file and check-in into content server with the following lines of code...
look at the web rendition of the above check-in, and see if the html in your include is displayed.
If all good, you can add my_custom_include to "Use Custom Include" to your field in Profile Rules.
