    EPMA Alias update

    beyourbest
I have hundreds of Alias's to update in an deployed Planning app.

Is there a way from EPMA to just update Aliais name like there is with Essbase load rules?

      Thanks,
      Jz

How about using an ADS file?

          http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epma_admin/ch12s18s02.html

I usually create these in Excel (where I can add VLOOKUPS for properties, aliases, etc), then dump them to a flat file with pipe delimiters. There's probably an easier way, but it works.

Use the File Generator utility to dump your dimension and then simply add your aliases into the file (again, much easier in Excel).

          Hope this helps,

I was thinking of that but it would be so much easier if it could be done with the interface tables...can it?

            Thanks,

It can be done by interface tables as long as you understand how interface tables work, it would be the same process as loading any alias information.

              Cheers
