SSXA - Site Work directory

I am working on an SSXA project with JDeveloper 11.1.1.5. I disabled the auto check-in on a save operation option and I see that the documents I am editing locally are stored in the Site Work/documents/document/... directory.

It was my understanding that a locally stored element definition in the Site Work directory would override the one that is stored in the UCM. Unfortunately, unless I check in a new version of the element definition in the UCM, I can not see any of my local changes.

Is there a way to see my local changes on my local weblogic instance without creating new versions in the UCM?

    Hi ,

I believe that you are seeing the correct behavior since the assets except for Page templates would be accessed / referenced from the server which in this case is UCM . So if you have to see any changes done locally from JDev then they will have to be checked in to ucm .

    Thanks,
    Srinath
