Here is a simple example of my problem that I am encountering in the Essbase Admin Console when trying to write a formula
Income Tax Rate
I would like to add a new account in between these two called Net Income with the formula being: ="income"*(1-"income tax rate");
However, I am having issues, because the item I want to reference is below the item I want to use. As I understand, Essbase requires referenced members to be above the member in which you wish to reference it. Is there a way for me to solve this?
if 'income' and 'income tax rate' are stored members then i do not think you should have any issues. It should calculate fine. If either of these are calculated members then you can try what Glenn suggested
