    running a report from within oracle forms builder

      db and dev 10g rel2
      hi all,
      iam trying to run a report from with oracle ?
      i searched all links on the internet about running a report and configuring the oas reports services like this link
      (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B14099_19/bi.1012/b14048/pbr_conf.htm)
      , but unfortunately i can not deal with such this task , even i do not know what the first step should i do is ?

      if you can guide me step by step please ?

      first thing i am doing is creating a report object in the forms builder's object navigator named "report6",with a filename called "report6" ,not based on a block (this what i've been asked to specify when the wizard appeared when i clicked on the "report" node in the object navigator of forms builder), but still did not save the report i created and created a button then wrote this code in it :
      declare
      repid  report_object ;
      v varchar2(100) ;
      begin

           repid := find_report_object('report6') ;

           v := run_report_object(repid) ;

      end ;
      to see this error when i run the form and click the button :
      frm-41211: integration error :ssl failure running another product .
      this is the task from scratch ,
      so
      what should i do to handle this error and run my report ?what is the first step ?

            See the link http://halimdba.blogspot.com/2009/04/frm-41211-integration-error-ssl-failure.html
            i saw it , and that was written :
            You receive the above error when using RUN_PRODUCT or RUN_REPORT_OBJECT in forms:

            This can occur for a number of reasons
            cause no 1 :"Report Server" property of "Reports" object is not set.

            and sure it is not set , because i do not know what to put in it , because i do not know my server's name ?
            how to get it ?

            thanks

              Try
              http://server:port/reports/rwservlet/showjobs
              or
              http://server:port/reports/rwservlet/showenv
              It should show you the name of the reports-server

                Try http://server:port/reports/rwservlet/showjobs
                i've typed it in the "report server" property to see a message when i run the form and press the buuton telling me :
                "unable to connect to the report server http://server:port/reports/rwservlet/showjobs"
                "unable to connect to the report server http://server:port/reports/rwservlet/showenv"

                ??

                  This
                  http://server:port/reports/rwservlet/showjobs
                  is a url, and you type in url's in your web-browser. The resulting page in the browser should contain the name of the reports-server.

                  And, of course, you have to replace "server" and "port" in the url by your local values .

                    local values which are ?
                    i can replace "server" with "localhost" or that is the link appears in the address bar of my browser when i run a form . http://stepdev:8889/forms/frmservlet

                    i think these are the local values you mean "stepdev" for "server" , and "8889" for port ?

                        http://semsem:8889/forms/frmservlet

                        so i tried
                        http://semsem:8889/reports/rwservlet/showenv

                          And... did you do a search for REP-51002 ?

                          At least you have your reports-server-name now.

                          open a dos-box and try the following from the directory $ORACLE_HOME/bin, where $ORACLE_HOME is the base-directory of your forms-installation
                          rwdiag -findAll
                          or
                          rwserver -start rep_semsem
                          then try the url again.

                            rwdiag -findAll
                            the output is :
                            channel address = 228.5.6.7
                            channel port = 14021
                            rwserver -start rep_semsem
                            the output is a message telling me
                            "please consult the installation guides for how to set up and run this program"

                            ??
