A couple of thoughts in no particular order.
1. What is your version number ... 10g is a marketing label not a version number.
2. Have you verified the files are where Oracle is looking? The files may be on a drive where you can see them but is that where Oracle is looking?
3. Have you opened an SR with Oracle and if not why not?
4. What went wrong that is causing you to want to restore the system and perform a reset. Please provide full details and exceptions.
Are you restoring back to the same cluster ? Did you restore the controlfile from the backup or only restore the database ?
