Data Synchronization issue

971397Jan 14 2013
Hi!

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this (might be planning and budgeting), however I have a problem with Data Synchronization. I have set it up to transfer data between two plan types in the same planning application, the plans type differs in the granularity for two dimensions. I have applied filter to handle this difference and it validates fine but when I run it the data is not transferred correctly. When I examines it, the only possible explanation I can find is that it is a block issue, so my question is actually very simple; 'Are blocks created by Data Synchronization when synchronizing data between two planning plan types?'

Thankful for any answers or ideas!

BR,
Martin

It looks like a jumpstart configuration error to me, i.e the directory of the flar is specified as " /flash_archives/TEST/js-client.flar" rather than " /flash_archives/TEST/"

Just to provide an update.

I switched to using ftp to get the flar file from the jumpstart server, which works fine.

I do believe that the issue with NFS is because the Solaris in-built NFS will allow a file to be NFS-mounted, but the user-space NFS daemon I used ( unfsd ) does not allow this, although I've not done sufficient snooping to prove this.
