I am using apex.oracle.com to test out this new RESTful Services feature.
APEX 2.0 (latest version released in Dec 2012)
The sample oracle.example.hr RESTful services is not working for me. From APEX, go to SQL Workshop > RESTful Services, click the Reset Sample Data link under the Tasks on the RHS. When I clicked the Test button from the oracle.example.hr > empinfo > GET resource handler, I just got an "ORACLE APPLICATION EXPRESS LISTENER 500 - Internal Server Error". Is anyone experiencing the same problem?
This was working for me a few days ago. I wonder if this is an APEX Listener 2.0 bug. If not, what's the solution?
Again, thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. The issue impacts new workspaces and newly created RESTful Services on this hosted instance. Bug *16210026* has been logged to track this issue. If you have your own local instance of APEX 4.2.1 and APEX Listener 2.0, you should be able to continue using RESTful Services without hitting this issue. Hopefully this alternative will allow you to proceed with the use of this functionality until we've resolved the issue on apex.oracle.com.
A revised version of the APEX Listener has been applied to the apex.oracle.com instance, containing a fix for bug 16210026. So you should now be able to carry out your RESTful Services tests successfully. Please note that the updated version of the APEX Listener release, release 2.0.1, is not yet available for download from OTN but hopefully should be soon. Keep an eye on the APEX Listener OTN page: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex-listener/overview/index.html.
