1. disable SELinux
2. disable FireWall
As a test - I turned off firewall but no luck: http://localhost:8080/apex/f?p=4950 returned
Failed to Connect
The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost:8080.
SELinux not running
# ps -ef | grep -i SELinux
root 23454 11831 0 23:59 pts/1 00:00:00 grep --color=auto -i SELinux
# rpm -qa | grep -i SELinux
What is the next step
this is a very common symptom of an unsuccessful installation. You'll find tons of posts on this topic here... And the hints on how to start debugging, such as running
