What does coherence cluster mean and how can apps be part of that cluster ?Coherence cluster typically includes both storage-enabled and storage-disabled nodes that are located within the same subnet and can communicate over UDP/TCMP. There are other considerations as well to make your apps(client-nodes) as part of the Coherence cluster or make them C*Extend clients. Check [this |http://ora-soa.blogspot.com/2012/05/coherence-extend-vs-tcmp-member.html] for various design considerations.
Does this mean that Coherence has to be installed as part of the Server(weblogic) JVM ?Yes, you need to provide the coherence.jar and other coherence configuration in the Server classpath.
