IBM x 3850 X 5 GPT Partitioning scheme

when i try to install Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.5 64 bit in IBM x 3850 x5 server

it throws a error

the boot partition is on a disk using the GPT partitioning scheme but yhis machine can not boot using GPT.

Any one please suggest a solution.

    Dear 850438 ,

    1) enter rescue mode and delete the MBR on the disks as below.
    # dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1

    2) Reinstall the system again.

    It should work

    Your server uses UEFI-compliant server firmware that supports UEFI and standard BIOS and should detect the correct mode. However, it favors UEFI over BIOS. http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?brand=5000008&lndocid=MIGR-5083207

    Keep in mind, that any disk that is larger than 2 TB requries the GPT partitioning scheme. The GRUB bootloader of Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.5 does not support GPT or EFI. I suggest to check the product documenation and installation notes specific for your system.
