There are no advantages or disadvantages in version to versionThat statement is true, if you completely disregard:
- bugs introduced in certain versions impeding previously working functionalities
- version dependencies
- lifetime support of versions (For you it's no disadvantage that 126.96.36.199 isn't in premier support anymore??)
- etc. etc.
You can neither make a blanket statement "there's no adv/disadv between versions" nor say "188.8.131.52.5 is worse than 184.108.40.206.6" since it depends on your implementations situation, the bugs/missing features/enhancement requests it faces. A killer bug for client A might not even be known to client B since he never runs into that specific case.
More specific and qualified questions and equally qualified and detailled answers would be appreciated.
