We are using ERPi (minus FDM) to load data into the planning application. The data is sourced from EBS GL. The setup works beautifully except for the Budget data load piece. I can load Actuals just fine but when I load Budget data and the user drills through, it opens up Actual Balances in EBS. This means that the data being loaded into the Budget scenario is not coming from the Budget category but from Actuals. I have defined category mappings (Actuals -> Actuals and Budget -> Budget). I am not sure where I am going wrong. If anyone has come across a similar issue please provide some inputs. I would really appreciate it. Thank You !
Rather than using the drill back, just to see if it is truly pulling in Actulas for Budget (which I doubt to be honest), can you run the DL Rule for Budget and then check the data load workbench in ERPI and look at the data and pick a row and then find that row in the Oracle EBS GL and see if it ties out. It may be just a drill back bug/issue.
I actually tried that. Infact, I deleted the Actual mappings (Category, DL rule, etc) and ran the Budget data load. I ran the Budget DL rule and looked at the data in the workbench. Drill back opens the Actual balances and that record also ties to Actual balances in EBS as well.
Was anything changed in the source system in ODI (Update of the Database information)?
Do you have any Application Mappings or just Global Mappings?
After you deleted the Actual Category from ERPi, did you re-initalize the source system?
So I just heard back from Oracle and they said that EBS does not support drill-through to Budget and Encumbrance balances. I am trying to find out if it can load Budget data okay though. I understand that it does not support drill through, but I hope it can load the data.
