Oracle Database - 10.2.0.1
Oracle Clusterware - 10.2.0.1
ONS service is not starting in one node. In backend the service is trying to be get started automatically which is causing high CPU utilization. Any suggestion how to start the same?
upgrade to the latest release (10.2.0.5), or directly go to 11.2.
On the other hand you could check your ons configuration (onsctl debug to see the settings, from the CRS Home).
If I can remember correctly then the ons configuration of the nodes are wrong. You can correct them with racgons add.
To see what ons registration is existing you could export the OCR (ocrconfig -export) or OCRDUMP, and search for ONS. There you will find with what names ONS is registered,
thnks for your inputs...
The issue was identified as in OCRDUMP the remote port mentioned was different comparing to ons.config in NODE 2.
I did the REMOVE_CONFIG and ADD_CONFIG with the proper port. Still the ONS service is not coming up and in NODE 1 when is do onsctl debug connection for NODE 2 is getting refused.
Whether NODEAPPS restart is required after the ONS configuration change in OCRDUMP.
