We are implementing BI Apps using multiple Oracle Source Systems ( Different Instances ) from different Countries for our Multinational Client. We performed ETL Run and pulled the Data from different systems with respective Source ID's. We then created a filter based on Source ID , to differentiate the Data from different Sources.
However the filter has only the list of Source ID ( 101 ,102 ,etc) which is present in System , is it possible to map these values to Instance name like 101 to India and 102 to Kuwait , so that the Filter shows Instance Name List while performs search as per Source ID ?
Any headup will be highly appreciated.
I'm not clear where you have created filter based on Source ID.
You may go with a new costum table with columns SourceID,Country
and join where ever you need to filter.
BTW: Source ID is different from DATASOURCE_NUM_ID?
If helps pls mark
Hi all ,
I figured another Solution for this, I edited the Dashboard prompt and in the expresssion builder for prompt , I used
CASE WHEN SOURCE_ID=101 then 'Kuwait' END
However this is kind of hard coded , need to enable it each dahboard prompt.
