i have two tables in database(parent and child table)..
one of the column in parent table(Asyn_ID) is a trigger populates the value..
I need to update the same value in child table (foreign key Asyn_ID) using DB Adapter in oracle soa suite 10g without using stored procedure..
I want to insert all those using one DBAdapter. can you suggest for this..currently i am using stored procedure for inserting both parent and child table with one DBAdapter..i want to insert without using stored procedure and one DB invoke.
So, as I wrote, create 2 DbAdapter, one with select operation (parent) and one with insert operation(child)
In the transformation, when you map the sync_id from source(parent) to target (child), you are using it as a "where" clause.
You can use 1 DbAdapter (choose both operation).
But still, you will have to use 2 invokes and a transformation.
I didn't try it but you can use maybe the "Execute Custom SQL" and execute an inner select for the insert operation.
