The link button doesn't work. It seems to be part of some sort of deprecated leftover from an outdated system. The correct way to create links is described here: https://wikis.oracle.com/display/Forums/Forums+FAQ
The thing is, was 14th Nov and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then but I can't find more information about it. As I asked int he wiki, Is there any information about the progress? In the current Java 8 versions, there is no 3D change, and the 28th Feb there is a developer preview. Are those 3D features postposed?
Oracle tends to be rather reticent about its development, at least partially because they want to avoid premature announcements. The 3D features probably aren't complete enough to put them into the developer preview. I have no idea whether or not the 3D features have been postponed, but since the corresponding Jira RTs have a priority of Major, I would guess that they fully intend to stuff them into the final release.
The best way to track progress is to look here: http://javafx-jira.kenai.com
Not all RTs are public, but there are enough of them to get some vague idea of how things are going.
There have been some check-ins related to math support for 3D transformations:
http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-17942 "Provide Affine class with matrix manipulation methods (multiply, premultipy, negate, etc.)"
jdk8 preview build (http://jdk8.java.net/download.html) include the APIs defined in the resolution to that Jira.
I guess for further 3D support, you will just need to wait for it to be implemented and pushed to a public repository . . .
I'll have to take time to read aidreamer's linked FAQ on how to correctly post links ;-)
