    No. What i was asking are you able to get net bios from linux to windows.
    If you are able to get the net bios of above said location then it should not be problem.

    Why don't you just install Oracle client on your desktop and connect with sqlplus from there? since "spool" is a function of sqlplus, it writes to the machine that is running sqlplus.

    If you can see it from the linux command line, you can spool to it. So ask your team to nfs mount wherever you want to go. Sometimes this is harder than one would like. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324089

    Also, watch out for the differences in how lines and files are ended, sometimes a ^Z in the middle of a file can ruin your day. Some Windows are frustratingly screwy about the whole subject. I've seen people go just about insane with Windows drivers converting form feeds to who-knows-what.
