As covered in the documentation, AI requires use of either DHCP or the network-boot-arguments OBP to configure network booting. Your use of RARP will not work.
But even on dhcp it doesn't work without setting network-boot-arguments on OBP
If i don't feed any entry in /etc/ethers and /etc/hosts
whenvever I do on client side boot net:dhcp it always give rarp messages in the snoop on server.
What can be the reason.
That sounds like you're trying to use a really old SPARC machine that doesn't have DHCP support in the OBP. Such machines aren't able to run Solaris 11.
I am using T3-1 Sparc and T4-2 Sparc machines.
But on these machine I have 2 different Vender 10Gbe Ethernet adapter...1 works but other don't
NIC adapter firmware can be a reason ?
I haven't attempted to boot any recent SPARC systems from 3d-party NICs. I suppose that's potentially the problem.
