the product maintenance level of the current installer (weblogic Server :10.3.6.0) is not compatible with the maintanance level of the product installed on your system  (weblogic Server :10.3.5.0) please obtain a compatible installer or perform maintenance on your system to achive desire level

          adf009,

As far as I know, you cannot upgrade the WLS that is installed together with JDeveloper. If you want (for testing, for example), you can install WLS 10.3.6 in a new BEA home and apply the Application Development Runtime 11.1.1.6 to it.

You can't install WLS into an existing middleware home folder. I guess you have installed jdev in this folder. If you want to run a wls 10.3.6. you have to install it in a different middleware home folder, or you remove JDev and install it again in a different folder.

Question is why do you want to install wls 10.3.6 over the exiting 10.3.5?
Have you read Chris Muirs blog https://blogs.oracle.com/onesizedoesntfitall/entry/adf_runtimes_vs_wls_versions ?
