    Problems downloading Oracle Developer Day.ova

I am trying to build a virtual machine to start using Oracle Database 11g (server). Basically, I want use Oracle Database 11g on Linux platform.
To start with, I have a Windows XP desktop (2GB RAM, 3 GHz processor, 80GB disk). So, first I downloaded "VirtualBox-4.2.6-82870-Win.exe" from the link http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/virtualbox/downloads/index.html

1). Is this the correct Virtual box that I have downloaded?
      2) Or, do I need the .rpm file instead (VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.6_82870_el6-1.x86_64.rpm)? I believe this file is used when I have a LINUX machine.

I have problems downloading the "Oracle Developer Day.ova" file.
      - Can someone suggest an appropriate DOWNLOAD MANAGER software to download this file?
      - How does a download manager work to download this file?
      - Does this .ova file contain both Oracle Database and Linux softwares?

      Please help.

What you have downloaded is the Virtualbox software for Windows. You will need to install this first in order to create a Linux VM - you will then have to download the pre-built virtual machines available at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/community/developer-vm/index.html - see the appropriate instructions link

Pl be aware that you do not have enough RAM and disk to be able to run a VM - you will likely have to double RAM and disk to be able to have a usable VM
