Conditional format in BIP

I am trying to use conditional format to show values in red if its less than zero. some how its not working . Is there any other turnaround method to implement this logic directly in the column.

    I am using the condition format next to column on which I need the condition.

    <?if:number(__Vertical_Budget_._YTD_Sales_____Vertical_Budget_._Ytd_Budget_Extra_Mile__-_1____100)<0?><?attribute@incontext:color;'red'?><?end if?>

    But its still not recognizing it.
