JavaMail 1.3.2 added support for AUTH=plain, which may be triggering the Exchange bug described here:
Yes, the Java Mail API 1.3.2 is a old release. But we have customers with this release.
But what is the solution here.
Setting the below system properties will help here?
Without more information, it's hard to tell. Did you try it?
If it does help, please report the bug to Microsoft.
Note that you only need the "imap" or "imaps" properties depending on which protocol you're using.
There's no NTLM support in 1.3.2 so you don't need to disable it.
