I am new to Oracle. I need to determine the license information. I would like to know:
i) How to find Oracle license whether it is based on user or CPU after installation
ii) How to check from the system the number of CPU licensed after installation
iii) How to check from the system the number of Oracle users licensed after installation
All versions are Oracle Enteprise (9i, 10g, 11g)
You look at the paperwork you got from Oracle when you purchased your licenses.
The database software itself has no idea whether you are using the OTN license you agreed to when you downloaded the software from OTN, a CPU license you purchased from Oracle yesterday, or some ancient license you purchased from Oracle a decade ago using a metric that Oracle won't even sell you any more (for example, old concurrent user licenses that are still floating around).
Justin is correct you need the CSI, that is, the paperwork that came from Oracle or with the CSI number you might be able to open a SR with Oracle an ask; however, it is generally a safer, wiser course of action to look on your end first.
