Yes,i used the deployement plan which has been provided under Platforms/weblogic/weblogic-plan.xml.
However there is one more thing i would like to mention. The documentation says to create directories(to hold config files and tools files) with the root user and then change the ownership of the directories to the user that runs the application server. But i created the directories directly with the user that runs the application server.
I just did this installation but I did not come across this warning message. Where was this Error shown ? Was it shown in the User Interface or was it shown in some WSL Logs ?
This does not looks like a permission issue. I set up my install as root only.
Before I applied the deployment plan, I first deployed the application using the dnsdirector directory and the unarchived files (unpacked from dndirector.war). Once it had deployed successfullly, then I went to edit the deployment to make an update and then I used the custom deployment plan. I edited the custom deployment plan so that the name of the folder matches the context which is by default dndirector.
This does not look like a permissions issue. From a permissions point of view, the main thing is to ensure that the weblogic user has read/write access to the config area you are using.
Check that the deployment plan refers to the correct path of the application. The provided deployment plan uses 'dndirector' but you could deploy the application to a different name - if you do you need to update the XML. Other than that we have not seen any issues applying the deployment plan on any weblogic versions. I would perhaps suggest re-deploying to double-check the steps as it only takes a few minutes.
Thanks a lot Mike and Roda. I have been able to deploy it successfully without any errors.I deployed OEDQ from a different directory but then forgot to update the module name in the XML.Once i updated this in the XML everything went fine.
But after all this i am not able to access the OEDQ url. The browser responds with a 403-Forbidden error.
Are there any other settings or configurations that i need to make??
