Might be a bit of a stupid question but would I need a another informatica licence if I have 2 informatica servers but one is always in the shutdown state.
The theory behind this is to create an element of DR and resiliency for Informatica.
So in theory I have an informatica server that does down to say network failure, I can then bring the InformaticaDR up, when issue is fixed shutdown DR and bring back original Informatica?
ive looked all over both oracle and informatica's site but cant find a answer saying I need a licence for each informatica installation if only one is online at a time.
I presume I will need a new licence but would like some conformation first.

I dont think you need another licence . Its better to check with your Oracle sales person or support web.
