    Migrating from Oracle 8 Enterprise Edition 8 0 4 0 0 to Oracle 11g R2

I am trying to upgrade the oracle 8i to 11g R2.

Is there a easy way to do this?

Can I go from 8 to 11? ( I am thinking that you have to go to 9 first)

Other issue is the 8i is using xp and will soon get upgraded to windows 7 which I know is not compatibly?

So should I place the 11g on window 7 OS and than migrate the data?

How do I get the ORACLE FORMS (using Oracle form builder 6i) to transfer without breaking?

How do I get the ORACLE REPORTS (using Oracle reports builder 6i) to transfer without breaking?

      Oracle8 Enterprise Edition Release 8.0.4.0.0 - Production
      PL/SQL Release 8.0.4.0.0 - Production
      CORE Version 4.0.4.0.0 - Production
TNS for Solaris: Version 8.0.4.0.0 - Production
      NLSRTL Version 3.3.1.0.0 – Production

No you cannot directly upgrade from 8i to 11gr2 - you can if you use export/import. Pl identify how big your database is and how much downtime you can afford.

One option is to install 11gR2 on Win 7 (you will need Profressional or higher), then export from 8i and import into 11gr2
