Many thanks for the reply. So, I take it I need to use RPM directly to install any debuginfo package from the link you suggest, as opposed to there being a yum repository?

There is a already a repodata folder in it, so you can just point yum to it. For instance:
Cut and paste the following to the command prompt (use http, not https):
cat >> /etc/yum.repos.d/public-yum-ol6.repo <<EOF
name=Debuginfo for Oracle Linux \$releasever
yum list libc*debuginfo
