    Column issue

We have column called ROD .Which contains the Year/Month and datatype is varchar.

I convert data type as date for splitting the Year and month as separate column.

      But getting following

A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 46044] Cannot convert string (2011-01) to date data. (HY000)

How to convert and how to split into Year,Month Columns.

      Kindly let me know.

          Try this

It would be nice to prefix 01 and then convert this to date.

Above code return the output dd/mm/yyyy, you might need to cast it to date.

          If helps pls mark

Code works in both, Answers or RPD. I would suggest to do in Answers once you are good with output then put it in rpd.

Pull column ROD in Criteria tab->fx use the given code and make sure you use complete column at ROD which is TableName.columnName.

In rpd you have to use the same code and ROD pointing to physical column in the expression.

              Let me know for issues.
