    Auto Update for JDK

I was reviewing the [Java 6 Auto-Update to Java 7|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/documentation/autoupdate-1667051.html] which seems to imply for the latest version of the 32 bit JRE, this will be auto updated to the latest.

Will the JDK also be auto updated in this way? Will the 64 bit version be updated in the same way?

Does this update any environment variables or registry settings in the process?

Does it remove the latest installed (not the latest available) and replace with the latest available (if newer than the installed version) or does the previous install remain?

I'm sure you've already seen it, however:

It appears the answer is "No", at least for now.

I would strongly suspect that you and I are not the only souls searching for such a solution (for Windows), so feel free to start writing a solution.
