We have configured a list applet in base mode using (Applet List (Base/EditList) web template) and customer wanted the edit mode should be a list applet instead of a form.
So we configured one more mode by giving the name and type as Edit using (Applet List (Base/EditList) web template).
problem is whenever we click on New it goes to Edit mode (which is a list mode), but if we try to save the record without populating the required fields then some of the MVG applets associated are opened in query mode and for some MVG applets the New button is grayed out.
Any help would be appreciated.
We are using siebel 7.8 and Win 7 OS
Check the following:
1. That you've not set a value at "Auto Qeury Mode" in the MVG Applet level!
2. Make sure that the List column (in Applet level) or field (in BC level) based on the MVG Applet is not readonly!
Thanks Abed for you response,
"Auto Qeury Mode" in the MVG Applet level is blank and also List Column/ field is not readonly at applet / bc level.
If I configure the Edit mode using (Applet List Edit (Edit/New/Query) or Applet Form Grid Layout) webtemplates (like a form applet) everything seems to working fine.
Problem is when I try to configure the Edit mode like a list applet instead of a form.
