Oracle VM Manager 3.2.1 Says update requiered on VM Servers, but after the update, the same version and build remain on the server but now the manager saids that No update is required.

This is the second time it happens, now with VM Servers on 3.2.1-517

Any advice why this is happening?

      Regards

      Raul

An update which doesn't also include a newer version of 'ovs-release-***.rpm' will not increment the reported build version once the update is installed, as this package is where the version info is sourced from.

Logging in to the dom0 OracleVM server console and running 'rpm -qa --last' just like on any RedHat-compatible linux distribution will show you which packages were updated & the date/time on these, they will probably be xen related packages or kernel updates.
