          The following works:
          # rpm -qi oraclelinux-release
Name        : oraclelinux-release          Relocations: (not relocatable)
Version     : 6Server                           Vendor: Oracle America
          ...etc...

          # lsb_release -d
Description:     Oracle Linux Server release 6.3

          # yum info oraclelinux-release
          Name        : oraclelinux-release
          Arch        : x86_64
          Epoch       : 6
          Version     : 6Server
          ...etc...
The problem in your query is that there is no package by the name "enterprise-release."

            hello,

it was working for OEL5. What 's the purpose of this package?

enterprise-release: Summary : Enterprise Linux release file
oraclelinux-release: Summary : Oracle Linux 6 release file
Obviously the package name was changed. Also the product name was changed from Oracle Enterprise Linux to Oracle Linux with the release of 5.6, which uses the Oracle UEK kernel by default. What's the deal about this package?

Nothing is broken: enterprise-release was replaced by oracle-release in OL6.
