You can allocate several channels and this should reduce the time.
Change or remove OBJECT_TYPE as needed.
SELECT OPERATION, STATUS, OBJECT_TYPE, TO_CHAR(START_TIME,'MM/DD/YYYY:HH:MI:SS') AS START_TIME, TO_CHAR(END_TIME,'MM/DD/YYYY:HH:MI:SS') AS END_TIME FROM SYS.V_$RMAN_STATUS WHERE START_TIME > SYSDATE -1 AND OPERATION = 'BACKUP' AND OBJECT_TYPE = 'DB FULL' ORDER BY START_TIME DESC;
It depends on how many channels were allocated? What is current load.
You can run below query , when RMAN backup is running to find out how much work is left
SELECT SID, SERIAL#, CONTEXT, SOFAR, TOTALWORK,
WHERE OPNAME LIKE 'RMAN%'
AND OPNAME NOT LIKE '%aggregate%'
AND TOTALWORK != 0
AND SOFAR <> TOTALWORK;
