To get the sysdate into a msg text input field by default ................
Feb 16, 2013 4:53 AM
my requirement is simple yet a bit complicated...
i need to get the SYSDATE as default into the field which is of data type DATE...
I was successful in getting it by writing the following code in AMimpl......
its taking the value (2013-02-16 10:17:09.0) in this format and it is saving in the back end as the same.....
when i am running the SEARCH page
use this CURRENTDATE as the search criteria......
it is taking the value (2013-02-16 12:00:00.0)
So i am unable to get the result i desire
if i select a particular date
could any one help me in this particular CASE......

You can use truc(your entry date)
and compare with trunc(table's date).
Otherwise you have to use timestamp instead of date column for the search field where the user can
enter the date and timestamp.
