See attached  This email sent by xxx.

    Damir Vadas
I wonder what is the purpose of message part when user sent attachment from IR:
      See attached

      This email sent by XXXX.
      http://srv:8080/apex/f?p=yyy:920
Is there any way to exclude that? Or at least to be able to modify and not sent USERNAME?

      THX

            Hi Damir,

think you're right. Would be nice if you could custimize the download to mail en report subscription mail layouts/contents.
But I don't think it's possible if you use the "out of the box" IAR solution.

You can create a custom mail function which is not that difficult if you want to include the data from a standard query, if you want to include the IAR report filters set at that time you can get those ( in APEX 4.2 ) using the APEX_IR package.
Manually recreating the entire standard IAR report mail function will take a lot of time/effort, but if you just want to send a standard layout with or without the current IAR query it's fairly easy.

            Regards
            Bas

              Hi Bas,

              THX for info.

Making mail attachment manually is not a problem but this is something that I do like to do right now.
This is mostly because I'm not experienced how to retrieve formatted values from IR (data as html or as csv) as they do.
You are right-IR filter is easy to get as well as IR query ... but formatted values is not known to me.
If there is a way to get blob (or what it is) formatted values ... please let me know.

                Hi Damir,

not sure what you mean by "retrieve formatted values from IR "

I think there are a few steps :
                1. using the APEX_IR package you can get the current query
                2. Fetch the data using this query ( PL/SQL proc ), you retrieve plain data ( no formatting at this stage )
                3. Format the data in the wanted format ( either HTML or CSV depending on your needs, for file layout there are many sources on the internet, CSV is the easiest, for HTML check the current standard IAR file which has the correct layout and re-use this ) and create a file from this ( I use clobs for the content )
                4. Attach the file to the mail you create via APEX_MAIL

Not sure if that answers your question ?

                Regards,
                Bas

This is the step I 'd like to clear. If you can help me in steps:
                  1) retrieving formatted layout from IR

                  How to achieve this?

All other is more then clear.

                    Damir,

I guess you can handle that by creating a text message called APEXIR_EMAIL_BODY with your text under shared components for your current language, this will overwrite the standard message.

There are list of APEXIR_EMAIL* codes that you can setup, see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/doc.42/e35125/global_messages.htm#BABEGGHA

Just submitted a test subscription and will find out if works

                        Damir,

It doesn't work, because the above mentioned codes are only for (Actions > Download > Email) and not for subscription.

Its time to post a request on https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=55447:4

                          VC,

If I understood you right, subscription is not covered, so subscribed mail is not under this?
I can live with it for now.

I'm just wondering, when user choose "(Actions > Download > Email)" I have to write mine own ajax to initialize mine PLSQL code?
This subscribe part is confusing me ...

Why do you want to write custom PL/SQL code? you don't have to write any custom code.
Just beware that this email is one-time only and different from subscription.

I'm sorry but as you saw I did not follow you (I read it twice :-) ).
Why do you want to write custom PL/SQL code? Are you trying to use Email download?
I did not understand what is "APEXIR_EMAIL_BODY".
Thought it is part of some PLSQL method. Now I see that this is part of many globalization variables ... which can be reassigned ... by own.

                              Hope this is now clear.

In this context its for item label's, for example see http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=46417:4

go to actions > Download > email > you will see a custom item label 'test vikram body' instead of 'Body'

All I have done is created a text message under shared components with text 'text vikram body' for language english

                                  VC,

I did exactly what you have said. Label is changed, but content of sent mail is still the same:

                                  See attached

                                  This email sent by USERA.
                                  http://pcdamir:8080/apex/f?p=10011001:920

And I want to change the content of body that are shown after "See attached" part.

I do not want to expose username at all. and have influence on that content if possible.
