How To: control the report links (Refresh/Copy etc) on dashboard globally

    639800
We need to remove certain links (Analyze, Edit, Refresh, Print, Export, Add to Briefing Book, and Copy) from the Dashboard Analyses. These links should not be accessible to anyone creating a Dashboard.

Is there a global configuration setting which can be used to hide these? Also is there any way to rename these links?

Like for Analyze we would like to say "Explore further"

      Thanks!

          you can hide them from:
edit dashboard then go to analysis and press properties then choose report links and customize.
i dont think that you can change the name of these links.

            Hi User,

Yes, we can both control and modify i.e. rename these links as per our requirement.

            Check the following: Oracle BI\Web\msgdb\l_en\messages\uimessages.xml

In, this file you will see all the properties.. which you require:

            eg: <WebMessage name="kmsgSelectReportLinksInstruction"><TEXT>Select links to display.</TEXT></WebMessage>

            Chang it to

            <WebMessage name="kmsgSelectReportLinksInstruction"><TEXT>Display links</TEXT></WebMessage>

            This will impact on UI.

Similarily, all the parameters are available to change but they are not in single file.
So, you need to work to find those things.

So, check all the Xml files within : C:\OracleBI\web\msgdb\l_en\messages

            Which might help you.
