It's possible but the results aren't what you would expect. Unless you mount the d102 partition and modify the /etc/vfstab to point to d102 or the cXtXdX device(s), when you boot it will mount the metadevice d100 so even though you are booting from second disk, you will be mounting root from the metadevice.
So you will need to mount the d102 partition and edit the vfstab (after detaching) and you should be able to boot from it as you would expect. Make sure you have a bootblock on the disk...
