If I am not wrong change Password for users in 11g was not available in 11.1.1.6.2 or before. Correct me if I am wrong

This should be customized by using custom java code. Pls refer to :

    obieedue.blogspot.sg/2012/07/changing-user-password-in-obiee-11g.html

Oracle still has not provided any fix or patch for this , see Bug 11836170 : ENABLE NON ADMIN USERS TO CHANGE PASSWORDS IN OBIEE 11G

This is because security communication OBIEE and WLS where users are stored might have to consider several authentications providers, doing this very difficult to manage.

Hope this helps. Pls mark if it does.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I have installed 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 patch on my local machine. There is "change password" facility under Myaccount if you log in from BI Publisher URL.

This option is not available in 11.1.1.6.8.

we have been using the method mentioned in the below link for 11.1.1.5.0 and thinking to do same on 11.1.1.6.8.

issue here is, we are required to mask the password when typing, anybody has any idea of achieving that.

    Appreciate your quick response.

    Thanks
    Ram
