Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management 9.0 Ports

    994257
      Hi,
We are looking at rolling out Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management 9.0.
We have the Database and the Web server.
Can anyone tell me which ports need to be opened between the two servers as well as out to the internet, I can't find that information anywhere.
      Thanks.

This depends on which database you use for the backend.

For the front end to the client, you will need 443 (user name a password screen is always 443) and maybe 80 if you allow http access via the user browser.

For the database (check with your DBA) but normally:
          MSSQL is 1433
          Oracle is 1521

In addition the system needs msdtc to have access. This can be a little tricky as MSDTC out of the box expects not only TCP port 135 but also uses RPC dynamic port allocation. There is a way to configure MSDTC to use a specific dynamic port range.

            Thanks for the reply.
Yes, it looks like they are using Microsoft SQL 2008 R2. DBA confirmed port 1433 needs to be opened.

That MSDTC link is exactly what I was looking for as well.
            Appreciate it.
