    issue while navigating through Go URL

    user8840662
      I have a dashboard with two pages with one report each say Report1, Report2.

      Report 1 has, glcompany, account, product, measures. (all these are from one fact F1)

      The second page - Report2 has, glcompany,account,product,measures (all theres columns are from another Fact F2)

      user needs to CLICK on Product on Page 1(Report1), It should take the user to Page2 (or Report2) BUT, Corresponding, glcompany,account,product should be passed as parameters to REPORT2.

      I tried using GO URL but,it gave me erros.
      I read many documents in some blogs in GoURL but I couldnt figure the exact syntax.
      let me know what I did wrong.

      here's the code:

      '<--a href=http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?GO&
      path=/shared/Development/Report2
      &Action=Navigate
      &P0=1
      &P1=eq
      &P2="Fact - Table1"."product"
      &P3='||" Fact - Table2"."product"||'
      style="text-decoration:none;">'

      '<--/a>'

      [Remove -- ]

      I am unable to see any values in PRODUCT column in Report 1 . It is BLANK

      One more thing is that, I tried replacing the spaces in table name by %20 in the above code. But it was throwing an error. hence I had to keep it as it is.

          Check this doc
          http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/bi.1111/e16364/apiwebintegrate.htm#CACCHBHC

          I dont think the below part is correct in your URL generally P3 holds value of P2 but in your case its not

          &P3='||" Fact - Table2"."product"||'
          style="text-decoration:none;"

          Mark if helps

            Ok. I used this.
            It's still giving me error.

            '<--a href=/saw.dll?GO& path=/shared/Development - Reports/MyReport
            &Action=Navigate
            &P0=1
            &P1=eq
            &P2="Fact - Table1"."product">'
            '</--a>'

            Am I missing anything in the code?

            I eliminated P3 because, I cannot hardcode the product. It should be the "clicked" product that should be passed to the report. also, corresponding row( glcompany,account) should be passed.

              Can you try this:

              '<a href=saw.dll?GO& path=/shared/Development - Reports/MyReport
              &Action=Navigate
              &P0=1
              &P1=eq
              &P2="Fact - Table1"."product">'
              '</a>'

              And there should be no spaces in Report names and Tables names.
              If at all exists pls add %20 in place of space.

              Here is a sample one which i tried in my local machine:

              ''||"Component Item MV"."Component Part Number"||''

              Thanks
              Pramod.

                Hi, I could see only a part of your code.
                can you correct that.

                  Sorry i some how missed the anchor tag in my post..

                  Just add closing anchor tag after ||
                  '<--/a>'

                  I tried to paste the entire url...but some how the anchor tag is not displaying again....and just remove '--' in the closing anchor tag.

                  Thanks,
                  Pramod.

                    Can, you let us know Dashboard path, Name of the Report (including Portal information)

                    For Example: I used go url to pass the same information.

                    Name of the Dashboard Page where i need to pass the go url info : REPORT CARD
                    Name of the Dashboard: MY REPORTS

                    And, when i click on the Dashboard property: it shows like this

                    "Shared Folders : WEB REPORTS : Dashboards : MY REPORTS"

                    So, my Go url link is here which worked for me:

                    "saw.dll?Dashboard&PortalPath=%2Fshared%2FWEB%20REPORTS%2F_portal%2FMY%20REPORTS&Page=REPORT%20CARD&Action=Navigate"

                      Hi Sankat, I just used this and I see that this code is passed via physical query and is hitting the database and throwing the error while executing the physical query.

                      @GVK,

                      Dashboard path : /shared/Bal Sheet/_portal/Bal Sheet - Reports

                      Page path: /shared/Bal Sheet/_portal/Bal Sheet - Reports /urltest

                      I have to pass "Table1 - Bal Sheet".product column and then, the corresponding "Table1 - Bal Sheet".gl_account, "Table1 - Bal Sheet".gl_company should be automatically passed to the next page when I pass product column
                      The target report sitting in the page mentioned above has columns from other table."Table2 - Balance Sheet".product etc.

                      I tried all the above codes, none seemed to work.

                        Hi,

                        Do you have gl_account and gl_company columns in Table2 also?If that is the case try to use the below format..

                        ''||'ColumnToDisplay'||''

                        Thanks,
                        Pramod.

                          Hi Sankat,

                          I used this:

                          '<--a href = saw.dll?Go&Path=/shared/Balance Sheet/core reports/report2&Action=Navigate&P0=1&P2="Table1 - Bal Sheet".product&P3='||"Table2 - Bal Sheet".product||' &P4="Table1 - Bal Sheet".gl_account &P5='||Table2 - Bal Sheet".gl_account||' &P6="Table1 - Bal Sheet".gl_company&P7='||"Table2 - Bal Sheet".gl_company||'style = "text-decoration:none;">' '<--/a>'

                          When I am trying to save the column, its throwing me errors

                          Remove -- in the code at the tags.
