I'm trying to disconnect all the connections to the database when the browser displaying the Applet I'm working on is closed or the current browser page is changed.
I have overridden the java.awt.Applet methods close() and destroy(). Both are doing the same: closing the database connection.
I checked, when the web browser is closed, if there is still connections between a process and the database server and it seems that the connection is still active.
I assumed that the close() nore destroy() method have been called before the web browser is closed and that is annoying because I have to kill manually the connections in MySQL shell...
