Hi ,1 person found this helpful
I think you can use Link Manager report to get details / reports on this . Check it out - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e10978/c03_repository.htm#CBAEADJJ
Thanx for the info which u gave . But the issue whcih im facing is , when im trying to click any link in my portal ,then if it is broken then is displays an error message . The problem is that we will be knowing about it only if we manualy click that link but, without clicking we wont be able to know .
So if there are 5oo links in my portal then i need to click each n every links . But instead of that i just wanted to know can we automate it . I mean to say that can we implement somthng with UCM so that without clicking the links(in Portal) we get a report which gives us the details of all those links which are broken.
The Link Manager can list all the broken links inside your site.1 person found this helpful
Can we integrate the "Link Manager" with the UCM ?. If so then how ? Do we need any any registeration or something for that or can we directly download and use it. Please suggest me if you can information about this.
It is a UCM component. All you need to do is1 person found this helpful
a) enable it (+ restart the server)
b) configure it

Navigate to Admin Server - Component Manager - Advanced Component Manager - check Show System Components - under the Disabled list you will see Link Manager .
Enable it , restart server and it will enable the functionality .

Please help me put in this case .Hoping a good suggestion from you.
You are on 10g - everything is the same, just the links have different names. Pls. check the manual Working with Content Components at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10316_01/ouc.htm
Ya im working on 10g but then where to find those "component manager" related thngs in the link which you have proveided to me.
I'd believe it is described in the manual.
If not, you have two options:
- from UCM Web GUI - in Administration, there is a link Admin Server, where you will find Component Manager (it's the same as in 11g, only the page will display what is now called Advanced CM)
- from desktop, run Component Wizard
In 10g, you may have to install the component first - I believe the zip file from which you can install it will be somewhere on the disk. When you install it, enable it, restart the server, and you should be good to go.
Im using Oracle Content Server(OCS) 10gr3. But it is not having "Link Manager" componenet in it. So can anyone tell me that from where i could download it and install it in my OCS.
1.Check the Component List from Component Wizard for LinkManager, hope that it will be there ( Component Name is LinkManager8 with Enable status)
2.You can also check under folder <contentServerFolder>\server\custom\
In case it is not there , Install it,
This LinkManager8 Component is part of OracleContentServer 10gR3 zip file(i.e. V13682-01.zip)
Hope that this will help you.
Hi Deepak ,
If you are not seeing Link Manager component then download patch number 6907073 from MoS and the extras bundle would have the installable .
