SR-IOV vs NIU and mode=sc in ldm add-vsw/set-vsw

Two questions for you today:

1. I see that SR-IOV now is the preferred way of doing io in the guest domains, deprecating NIU. I also see the following restriction for virtual SR-IOV functions: "Migration is disabled for any domain that has one or more virtual functions assigned to it". Why should I let go of the neat flexibility to be able to migrate domains at will (for example, when having to do a firmware upgrade on the box) ? Will migration be supported for SR-IOV in the future or is there something I have missed out here ?

2. mode=sc on ldm add-vsw or ldm set-vsw. If we plan to use clustered domains, is it wise to let the interconnects have their own vswitch with mode=sc or is it not necessary to use the mode=sc at all when you only have low volume traffic on the interconnects/interfaces ? (we do not intend to use clustered filesystems etc., only heartbeat interconnects)
