You would use WebLogicHost if your weblogic managed server is not clustered. The WebLogicCluster tag is used when you want to distribute requests among the hosts which are running the managed servers in the cluster. You can specify the weblogic managed servers as hostname:port comma separated list :
Funny enough, you don't need to run a clustered weblogic configuration for WebLogicCluster to work. WebLogicCluster mt.acme.org:9001 will work fine as well even if the managed server running is not running as a cluster.
