I have a problem when using a dynamic action on my page. Here is what i want to do, i have a region, which is a form region with few textfield ( textfield1, textfield2, textfield3). then i created a button in a different region. after that i create a dynamic action, which will be fire when user click the button, and the this will popup the form region, as a jquery dialog. when user click submit on the popup form, it will submit the page and run a process on the page. the problem here is that all of the value in the form textfields, is not save into the session state when submitting the page. this is my jquery code that i use in the dynamic action:
the page is submitted when i click submit on the popup form, but no value save in the session state, and it broke my page process. is there anyway i can do to make it save all the value into session state so that i can use it in my page process?
And what is happening in the dialog? Any other user input? Is it informational?
If for some reason the dialog is just a prompt for the user to continue or cancel, then you can use apex.confirm instead of apex.submit.
They work the same way, but confirm receives a message parameter to be displayed to the user.
thanks for your reply. i just found the what is causing this problem. it's because the region(form) is remove from the dom when i turn it into a jquery dialog. so its not contain in the wwvFlow form anymore. that's why the value not save into session state when i submit the page. so to fix this, i change my jquery code in the dynamic action so that it remember where it's position before it turn into a dialog popup. and when i click submit button, i just move the region back into it's original position before submit the page. here's the code. just a quick and dirty fix, but it's work.
yep. it's work. the thread is closed. thanks jorge. i spent hours last night, till 5a.m just to figure it out.
i shouldn't work till that late coz my brain won't coop with me at that time. anyway thanks jorge for your reply :)
