I am trying to establish a connection between a Visual C++ (Visual Studio 2010) application and an Oracle-Server at my university.
The code used for opening the connection is:
oc::Connection* conn = env->createConnection("username", "password", "db_name");
The program stops at this line and throws the above-named exception. It probably is a problem with the tnsnames.ora file, which resides in the NETWORK/ADMIN folder of my local Oracle installation.
Using the command-line tool "+tnsping db_name+" shows that the connection is OK - so I don't understand why my code does not work.
I hope you guys can help me out - I am really stuck atm...
Thank you in advance,
