For some reason it can sometimes seem to go 'wrong', and members end up with a new account and lose all their points/and posts (they're still there on an account they can't get to)... and then admin have to be contacted and sort it out for them. (There are several threads in this forum on the subject if you look).
One member documented on his blog how to go about it, which worked for him...
If you try it and it seems to have failed you'll need to contact Oracle on email@example.com explaining what's happened and indicating to them which is your new and old accounts (probably just linking to a post from each account will do)
