    Closed Connection(class java.sql.SQLRecoverableException)

    998383

      I'm seeing the following error when trying to connect my app server running jboss 6.1 to my DB running Oracle 11.2.0.1. The driver I'm currently using is ojdbc6.jar.

      Closed Connection(class java.sql.SQLRecoverableException)

      Under normal circumstances the connection works and I don't see the error. The error seems to manifest itself when the DB server is under heavy load.

      I'm not sure if this is a pooling issue or a combination of the driver and a heavy load on the DB instance.

      Here is my oracle-ds.xml

      <datasources>
      <local-tx-datasource>
      <jndi-name>DefaultDS</jndi-name>
      <connection-url>jdbc:oracle:thin:@xxxxxxx:1521:xxxdb</connection-url>
      <driver-class>oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</driver-class>
      <user-name>xxxxx</user-name>
      <password>xxxxx</password>
      <!-- Checks the Oracle error codes and messages for fatal errors -->
      <exception-sorter-class-name>org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.vendor.OracleExceptionSorter</exception-sorter-class-name>
      <!-- sql to call when connection is created -->
      <new-connection-sql>select 1 from dual</new-connection-sql>
      <!-- sql to call on an existing pooled connection when it is obtained from pool - the OracleValidConnectionChecker is prefered, but it doesn't work. So, we have to go with this -->
      <check-valid-connection-sql>select 1 from dual</check-valid-connection-sql>
      <!-- configure connection pool
      <min-pool-size>1</min-pool-size>
      <max-pool-size>200</max-pool-size>
      <idle-timeout-minutes>60</idle-timeout-minutes>
      -->
      <metadata>
      <type-mapping>Oracle9i</type-mapping>
      </metadata>
      </local-tx-datasource>
      </datasources>

      Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,

      Eric
