Is adautocfg.sh required each time after apps server is bounce?

I recently installed EBS 12.1.1 on Redhat Linux 5. Evertime I bounce the apps server process (adstpall.sh, adstrtal.sh), I cannot bring up the EBS Login page (500 Internal Server Error) without first running the adautocfg.sh. Has anyone run into this issue?

Check Apache log files (error_log* and access_log*) for details about the 500 error.

    Hussein,

After I bounce the app server process, I cannot login to EBS page immediately. However, after 10 minutes, I am able to login. Any idea what's causing this?

Looks like your application services take some time to start up, please issue "adopmnctl.sh status" to verify.

Looks like all IAS components have a status of Alive. The other thing I did notice was that the adalnctl.txt had the following error. From my research, it looks like it has somethign to do with an invalid IP Address on the hosts file, but this is not the case for me. Any idea what my cause this?

    Linux Error: 111: Connectdion refused.

Yes, and I meant to say issue the command directly after you bring the services up and see how long it takes for those components to become alive.

Are you referring to the application listener or the database listener?

    Does AutoConfig complete successfully?

Please post the contents of the hosts file along with the listener.ora file.

    Thanks,

I'm referring to the application listener. The autoconfig completes successfuly.

You need to fix the entries in your hosts file as follows:

    127.0.0.1          localhost.localdomain localhost
    <IP Address> ebs12.spark.com
